i can't believe i forgot what was one of yesterday's best conversations...
sitting around eating our lunch...
Shaggy: Moushumi, do you have a camera?
M: What?
S: Do you have a camera?
M: What?
S: Your ring, is it also a camera?
M: Yes. I'm a spy. That's my real work is.
And then today at lunch, after eating Anil turned on the radio on his phone and started listening to a fuzzy station that wasn't coming in well. someone asked him what he was listening to, and then we heard the play by play of a cricket game. "oh...you're listening to the game."
and then i said, "Anil, you're just like my dad. He also loves listening to the games on the radio. So even though the station is fuzzy he listens cause he wants to hear the game." and then all the ladies started talking about how their husbands and sons are the same way...and the radio or TV is fuzzy, but they can't turn it off cause the man really wants to hear the game...
i love these little moments. the familiarity. the just being together. none of it is a big deal...and i think that's why it's become a big deal in my heart. These are the conversations that point to how much i have become a part of this family. these are the moments i treasure.
