First Soccer Game
I got to take Lydia to her first soccer game on Saturday. It was fantastic. I mean, i loved it. those littles ran around like bees to honey with the ball. the coaches were on the field to help make sure they were going the right direction (there was a little girl on Lydie's team who scored an "own goal" anyway).
They're the "Goalbreakers" and i think Lydie is really enjoying soccer. she certainly loves her pink holographic ball. she's very deliberate when she kicks the ball, and knows she's not supposed to have any toe balls. we're still working on the "no hand ball" idea (i must say i was a bit surprised when i got to practice and all the kids were carrying their balls...makes the whole concept more confusing if you ask me)
Here they're doing "The Referee's Prayer" before the game. She's playing through the YMCA
As any child soccer star knows...the most important part of any kid's soccer game...the snacks at the end
Below is a video clip. lydie's team did lose...so the other team is scoring in both clips...oh well, lydie had fun...who cares about the score. Lydie is #2 (she does the kick off in the video)
