it's been a near perfect week.
time with all my sisters
pumpkin carving
cookie baking and decorating
finally eating at Hopcat with Ang and Kev
getting to hang out with Ang and Kev
bike rides with mom
Bock family lunch on Wed, and a visit to Gpa
dinner with Gma and Gpa Hayward
last minute coffee dates and hugs
and 4 lbs to spare when packing my bag (this is unheard of!)
and i think yesterday Michigan decided to pull out all the stops to be sure i'd want to come back again...80 and sunny (WHAT?!?!)
so i went for a bike ride with mom
and Dad let me drive the TR-6...we enjoyed the MI roads, and a couple amazing lakes
i'm headed home.
after a beautiful season of rest, community, voices speaking into my life...encouraging me, speaking truth...hugs and breakfasts, coffee dates and lunch.
i go home full.
and rested.
i wasn't convinced this was possible.
i wasn't sure i'd be ready to go back.
but i am.
amazing eh?
the grace of God breathed over me and into me...largely through his people, and my community in different parts of America.
i'm ready to go home.
of course the leaving is always hard
but i'm ready to go home.
...and maybe while i'm flying around the world the Tigers can get their act together so it's a little more fun to watch them :)

what a blessing to be a part of the little "mel community" we have going on in colorado. love you much.
