games

We started a new round of training this week at Sari Bari. So far 5 new women have joined us…and there are a few more who have said they’ll come…and who we’re waiting for…

So what’s great about this is I have space to be in my role of “Aftercare Coordinator” and that means interacting A LOT with the new ladies…coordinating training…being with them…getting to know them…dreaming with them about learning…and education…and believing that they can learn something new…that they can master something hard.

I love it. It's hard at times – trying to figure out how to meet the needs of different women with different needs and different backgrounds. BUT…one of the things I have really enjoyed this week is playing games with the ladies. It is so fascinating to teach someone a game – and to watch how she learns…to figure out how to communicate to her, and to see when she gets it.

It has been fun to laugh together, and to begin getting to know one another. I'm looking forward to getting to know these amazing women more!
