I get to be a part of so many conversations in the course of a week. some are funny. some are hard. some are just plain silly. some frustrated me. some i don't quite understand. some i'd like to avoid.
i've been thinking it would be fun to start sharing some of those conversations with you all...and in my head i've named this segment of my blog, "the Shaggy conversation of the week" although, i doubt it will happen every week...and i doubt "Shaggy" will always be involved in the conversation.
you see, there is a guy who works for us at Sari Bari. He's goofy and quirky. and i love him...and he drives me crazy. Shaggy from Scooby Doo is the best description i can quickly give you of this guy. His most recent obsession is "Mr. Bean" - everyday i get some sort of a "Mr. Bean says..." comment out of him. He likes to switch words...i can't tell you how many times we've had this conversation...
S - Oh Mousomi-di, are you sick?
M - No, I'm not sick.
S - Are you busy?
M - Yes I'm busy.
S - No, you're sick. Sick means busy, and busy means sick.
"Shaggy" also doesn't have the best work ethic ever. He is meticulous, and a perfectionist in some ways...and, let's say, easily distracted. So the other day i walk into a room and he wasn't working, and this is our conversation.
M - Shaggy, do you have work to do.
S - yes, i'm ironing. why?
M - I wanted to make sure you had work to do. I wanted to be sure there wasn't anyone being lazy here.
S - oh, that lazy guy, I left him in 2011, he's not here in 2012.
M - oh, really, you're not going to be lazy in 2012?
S - no, i left that guy in 2011
M - and what do i get to do if you are lazy?
S - give me chocolate.
M - why would i give you chocolate for being lazy?
S - because.
M - no. but i'm going to remember you said this, and if you're lazy I'm going to remind you that you said that you left the lazy guy in 2011.
Shaggy...he drives me crazy...but i sure do love him.
