its definitely "winter" here in Kolkata. the mornings and evenings are chilly. when the sun is out its quite warm. i've seen kids in earmuff, men in sweater vests and scarfs - and i'm wearing long sleeves, snuggling under my Sari Bari blanket - and wearing socks and flip-flops (cause i can only find one of my slippers...and if i only wear socks then the floors feel cold, and if i only wear flip-flops then my toes feel cold)
under the kitchen sink is not outside. The rat that ate my rat-kills cake did NOT go outside to die. i don't think i believe the package. so far both our rats have died inside. i think the fact that its cooler helped it smell less..but the rat corpse has been moved to the roof - and the frog-shaped incense holder has been moved from the bathroom to the kitchen to help clear the air.
Beth is home from the hospital, and continuing to recover. its so nice to hear her laugh, and for her to sound like herself again :)
