its like i had a 3 week technology cleanse...its weird to be disconnected from blogs/emails/facebook. when i'm in india its my connection to "home" - but these past 3 weeks, they've been full. they've been beautiful. i haven't missed the internet. i've been with "my people" in real life.
here's a sprint through the past 3 weeks...
10 days with the Fleshies - yes please. beautiful. reflections on what God was up in my heart later. i promise.
a bonus layover in Denver and a few great hours with some dear friends out there :)
1 week in Grand Haven with my family - jumping in the waves with my nieces. games with the family. walks on the boardwalk. ice cream. taco bell. butch's beach burritos. the morning star cafe. 80's and sunny all week. yes...it really was as good as it sounds.
4 day backpacking trip with Merilee at Pictured Rocks National Park - deep breath. time. stories. laughter. sunset. space. silence. beauty.
i am rested.
i am overwhelmed by God's goodness in my life these past weeks.
i am full.
joy.
rich.
deep.
but alas...on with "the real world." i'm working on my list of things to do...and its long. starting to arrange time to see friends. working on what i'm going to say at all the "speaking engagements" i have lined up. i'm not gonna lie...i feel a bit overwhelmed - its a long list. there's a hard an fast time limit.
for now...just want to remind "you all" of what's coming up this weekend.
Saturday Aug 7, from 10am-2pm there is a come at go open house at 7140 King Rd. i would love to see you...come on by!
Sunday Aug 8, i'll be teaching the Jr. High Sunday School class at Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church, in room 215 at 10:15 am
Also on Sunday Aug 8 I'll be sharing at Communidad Agua Viva/Living Water Community Church in the morning service (11:30am) at 1208 Greenwood Ave, Jackson MI
