a great sunday

oh man...this time with the WMF community is really better than i could have imagined. so many shared meals, beautiful conversations, time, space, learning, laughter, worship, storytelling, nature, games... there is so much running through my mind. things i'm learning, things i'm processing. things i'm enjoying, things i'm trying to understand (about myself...and about how i want to live in Kolkata...and what it might look like for me to live there sustainably). for now, here are some things i wanted to share...

yesterday we had the inaugural "Flying Bird Race" 5K and 10K. I would call it a fun run....and it was a great idea. i loved it. early (for me...really it was like 7:30) on a Sunday morning we got up, we ran (for me, slowly). kids running with parents. conversations while running together. and lots of cheering along with way, and especially at the end. i loved it. what a way to start a sunday.

then we had a communion service as an entire community (including lots of kids). man...it was beautiful. there was such beauty in the "chaos" - the WMF family...parents, kids, we all took communion together. it was beautiful.

then we went swimming outside (and some people played golf)...what a great day.

man...i love WMF...
