yesterday in kolkata....

a beautiful talk with one of the Sari Bari ladies. it was beautiful to hear her reflections - and made me glad i've invested so much in Bangla

Language class. i love my language teacher

2 rain storms in one day...and i didn't get wet in either of them

lunch and nap time at Sari Bari. lunch is an hour...some people go home. some people stay at Sari Bari. after people are done eating, we all take a little nap. (i LOVE this hour!)

staff prayer

a man wearing a t-shirt that said, "I'm hot...it just comes in flashes" - i don't think he understood it

registered for another language class (this was surprisingly easy...i was prepared for a hassle)

stubbed my toe on a brick in the middle of the road

dance party in the kitchen

sheila and i rode the metro together. we were in good moods. we listened to fun songs on repeat on her i-pod, and i had this great vision of us busting out in dance along with the song we were listening to and then the whole subway car joining us in a spontaneous choreographed dance...like a music video. it didn't happen, but sure was sweet in my mind!
