good times

Last night after work i did really exciting things - like cleaning, mopping my floor, buying groceries, knee exercises, ect. It was good to be home, and to have some time to do things that I want to do...but tend to get pushed out of the way when you have visitors in town...and when you're in "oh...my roommate is leaving in a week" mode and just want to have as much fun as possible before she leaves. Last night was good.

Tonight the interns/fellows got together and just hung out. It was a good night. I enjoyed getting to know them more. Sometimes i feel like while we spend a decent amount of time together, most of it is very "superficial" time...and while some have been here for nearly 6 weeks, i generally don't feel like i know them very well yet. For someone as relationally wired as me - i can spend a lot of time with someone - but i also want to talk at deeper level...about true/hard/real/good/joyful/confusing things. I felt like tonight was a step in that direction with the new crowd...and i'm thankful for that step - and hopeful about new friendships. I'm also excited about continuing to learn from this amazing group of people.
