What a crazy week. i continue to be amazed at how the days can be so long...but the weeks and months so short. How did it get to be the end of October?!?!?!
On Monday i woke up and finally realized that i was sick-ish (i'd been really tired and weak - but the sore throat and body pain clued me in that i wasn't fine). I went to the office worked for awhile and then came home early to take a 4 hr nap. I spent the rest of the week feeling a little foggy, but managing to accomplish work.
Yesterday morning i woke up with a really sore throat. I think i had a fever all day yesterday. thankfully it was a Saturday and i made it my goal to lay on my couch all day. I was very successful. I read, watched "Lost" (i've never watched before, but i'm pretty hooked now!). and then the interns had a movie night. Today i feel better - but i've stayed home and laid low. Its amazing to me how incredibly nice it is to just stay home and "veg out."
I got to hang out with Katie's sister and new brother in law this week. I was thankful to meet them. it was good to hang out with them - and as always i love time with Katie and Ollie.
I've been doing a lot of admin work recently. Lots of budgeting stuff and detail work. i don't love it. It seems to be never-ending. and it has been frustrating cause of different circumstances and obstacles that keep popping up. The past few weeks i feel like i can't get done all the things i'm supposed to be getting done. I feel like i'm putting out one fire after another - never able to get to the less than urgent things that i still need to do...
On Fridays in the aftercare department we do "high/low" where we share the best and worst part of our week. its been good. I really enjoy spending that time with the ladies - and it gives us a platform to share joys and frustrations...and i think that helps keep us healthy.
Tonight Stephanie and I had cheez-it fried chicken for dinner (cheez-its sent with love from Merilee to me!) and amazing garlic mashed potatoes. oh, and with BBQ sauce for the chicken that Katie brought back from England for us. Such joy!

cheez it fried chicken, I'm glad it lives on, I haven't made it in a long time.
Lem - it's always good to read your posts - I got a surprise packet of coke in the mail Saturday! Thanks for thinking of me - I have it pinned to my bulletin board strip in my office, just for emergency!
Bless you, friend!
Hi Melissa,
Sorry to hear you were not feeling your personal best. I trust you are doing better. We were in Sunny Florida this week at Uncle Tom's. We were talking about you and what you are doing there. You are in your whole families prayers and thought.
