Today was city wide "no honking day" There have been signs all over. On the sides of buses, on the back so rickshaws...covering other signs like you see here. I'm not sure what the point of the day was...to decrease noise pollution maybe? i didn't notice any difference in the number of horns i heard today. I think if all the vehicles actually stopped using their horns for the day there would be so many accidents the city would be crippled. It was a nice effort...and brought me a smile.
this friendly blog entry is brought to you thanks to my friend Beth, and her deep regret over not buying a camera phone...which inspired me to get a camera phone...and i'd also like to thank Beth for inspiring me to figure out how to send the pictures from my phone to my email so that this blog could be possible. i fear she may have created a monster...and now i'll be forever clicking pictures on my phone...and sharing the world as i see it here! (who knows what little treasure are waiting to be found out in the city...armed with my camera phone, i will document them all!)
