There is a couple (Solomon and Sunita) who attend church at the same place my roommate goes. At this point they have 10 boys they've taken in off the street. (he's been doing this since 2000, and there are 10 more boys who have grown up and left home). They invited us over for dinner, and we said yes (of course!).
It was a good night. it was so good to hear how God has been at work in Solomon and Sunita...how He has provided, and amazing to see God's faithfulness, and their obedience. What i love is the hope in the boys. They're being loved and cared for...nurtured, valued - its amazing to see them now...and then to know that they used to live on the streets...and beg...to know the hardness that their lives used to be - and to see how they're being restored now is so very good!
i just don't think there are words to describe how good it is when you get to see places where hope and redemption are such real tangible things. I'm so thankful for Solomon and Sunita...and or their boys. It was a joy to be a guest in their home, and to catch a glimpse of their family!
