bet you never saw this one coming...

Last year when i was in Kolkata, some of my friends were taking tap dance classes, and they had a recital in May...and i missed it. disappointing.

This may my niece is having a dance recital - how cute will that be?! 3-4 year olds dancing...and i'm going to miss it. disappointing.

BUT...now its my turn to have my own little dance recital. that's right, you read that right. i'm going to be in a dance! I joined a gym (good for my mental and emotional health as well as my physical health...its a great place/way for me to de-stress). So about a week ago i saw a sign that said something like, "Members who are interested in doing a group dance for the finale should enroll at the front desk." It also said, "You will be trained by professional and well known choreographer, "Mickey"" At first i thought "What does that mean...for the finale?" and then "this is crazy" and then i thought, "could be fun" and then i thought, "no, its crazy" and then i thought, "you only live once...when else will you have a dance recital in South Asia?!?" So i asked about it at the front desk...and tonight i had my first rehearsal.

Now i'll have one more crazy thing for when i play "2 truths and a lie" and i figured i'd be able to make some friends too. I have one friend i met at the gym, and i'm hoping i can convince her to join the group!

May 10 is the big day. There have already been many requests for a video of this grand event...so i'll see what i can do about that :) at the very least i'll get my friend emily to take a bit of video on her regular camera...

this week flew by. the Internet was down both at home, and at the office for part of the week...i have a lot of half thoughts brewing in my head to share...
