little moments.

here are some things that i've seen the past few days that have brought me joy. little moments.

* There are puppies at the end of the lane where Sari Bari is. so i get to pass those cute little nuggets every day. they almost convince me to pick them up. (and i'm sad that i missed the first week or so of their lives)

* little girls swinging around poles and high-fiving each other on the metro

* a man with a very special necklace on the metro - a clear plastic chunk with a cockroach embedded in it...why, oh why?!

* When Gita brought baby Esther to Sari Bari today, and the way that 15 grandma's/aunties sprung into action to love on this little sweetie. This is the way that family is supposed to work.
Sarah took this awesome picture!

* my veggie guy has romaine lettuce (oh joy and celebration)

* dinner w/ good friends, and listening ears to my ranting/anger

* game night with good folks.

* The best dressed dog in Kolkata

* a batch of awesome almond/cranberry/coconut granola to start my mornings off right (it turns out all those heath teachers were right - eating breakfast is importnat).

* suitcases that are finally unpacked, and a bedroom that is finally clean.

practicing putting one foot in front of another. breathing deeply. centering/grounding. holding onto things that are true.

may you find little fragments of joy in unexpected places today. may you have eyes to see the joy that is  there.
