Egg Nog and Advent

Tonight in our living room...homemade egg nog (thanks Sheila!) and advent celebration.

we listened to my favorite Christmas album, "Behold the Lamb" by Andrew Peterson

we read from the Book of Common Prayer...
 "Likewise, we are in a world pregnant with hope, and we live in the expectation of the coming of God's kingdom on earth. As we wait, we also work, cry, pray, ache; we are the midwives of another world."

we wait.
actively.
we long for the new ways God is coming into our lives this year.
we speak it.
we ask for it.
we confess our need for God to come anew into our lives and our community.

Come, Lord Jesus, come.
