wardrobe malfunction

so in case you hadn't noticed by my recent posts - its really hot over here these days...and humid.

i often wonder why everyone seems so much more put together than i do...and this morning as i was power-walking to the office (cause i was running late) i realized that maybe part of it is that generally people here walk slower. that didn't stop me from power walking though (and also sweating profusely).

I got to the office and was leading devos...and some of the ladies were talking among themselves, and i couldn't figure it out...and i was trying to figure out if i'd made some sort of horrible language mistake, or if i just wasn't communicating what i meant to...and generally tried to ignore the side conversation.

after devos one of the ladies asked me about my pants (and at this point i looked at the back of my legs and realized that they were completely drenched in sweat, and you could see it. so then she asks me if i peed my pants (cause they're all wet).

apparently that was the discussion during devos - "did melissa pee her pants on the way to work?!?!?"...not some embarrassing language error.

lesson learned (no...not to leave my house earlier so i don't have to power walk to work...although that would also be a good lesson to learn) - i'm retiring those pants for the rest of the hot season...i'm not really interested in wearing pants that will make people think i peed my pants!
