went to a church's children's christmas program this morning. it was beautiful. lots of kids singing songs about Emmanuel coming.
kids dressed up to act out the story. kids with foil crowns, their mom's clothes as capes (for the kings), foil angel wings, and even little sheep. it was beautiful.

simple. and beautiful. and sacred.
i loved it.
i kept hoping one of the little girls would pull her skirt over her head (i'm not gonna lie, my favorite part every time the kids sing in my church is waiting to see who is gonna pick their nose or lift their skirt up) - but it never happened. there was a girl dancing (when no one else was...just grooving with the Christmas song).
it was a good morning.
