Last night we had some friends over.
we had....
chips (we deep-fry wheat flat bread...like tortillas, but thinner)
homemade salsa
cheese dip
ground chicken taco meat
tok doi (its like sour cream...only not quite)
we polished off all the food...
...and had great conversation...
...and some great dancing....
and as i sat in the circle with friends, after a great meal...laughing and telling stories...sharing doubts and questions...speaking a bit of bangla (cause we all speak it)...and sharing our hearts - i thought to myself, "this is pretty amazing"
and it is.
