Tidbits from the Newspaper

This was in the Newspaper a few weeks ago:

"Bangladesh has one of the highest road fatality rates in the world. Here buses and mini-buses are the top killer-vehicles, while 49% of their victims are pedestrians."

note to self: when crossing the road, don't step out in front of a bus.


When i first got here i read an article saying that virtually every 2 Taka and 5 Taka note (these are the smallest notes, so obviously change hands a lot) in circulation have been found to have anti-biotic resistant bacteria on them.

perfect. makes me want to wash my hands every time i touch money.
