i can (and am) wearing t-shirts here
i do not have to wear a scarf to cover myself
surprisingly our hotel has wireless internet IN the room
last night i slept with blankets
this morning Sheila and i have a beautiful leisurely brunch (including coffee with refills)...for 2 hrs
we went to a beautiful park this afternoon with some friends we made in Dhaka (who are also in Nepal) and played games...then ate ice cream.
it is exam week for Nepali students, and the government has decided to drastically cut back on the hours of day where the power is cut. usually this time of year its about 14 hrs a day w/o power...but its just been off for a couple of hours every afternoon. once the sun goes down we have power the whole night (i feel like its Christmas and i've just been given the most amazing present. right now in Dhaka we're losing power for at least 8 hrs a day)
tomorrow we're heading to the mountains - well, at least to a town where we can see the mountains. oh joy.
