this and that

Random updates...

Tomorrow i have a test. my first class is over...so its time to prove that i've learned what i'm supposed to...

we had a HUGE storm this evening. There was hail, thunder, lightning and lots of rain. i love storms...and i'm pretty excited about seeing the city without the layer of dust covering everything

I was talking with Delowar (who lives at the guest-house with us) about what he put in his food (he cooks really good smelling Bangladeshi food every night). i'm pretty sure i asked him if he put any fever in, although i also might have said "storm." either way i was way off... i meant spice/chili.

found out today that the tree right outside my house is a mango tree..

and now for a sad update...so the little puppy that brought me so much joy...i haven't seen him the past couple days. Sheila and i talked about it...i decided (hope-fully) that some nice family had adopted him. Sheila said we shouldn't ask....then she did. the guy downstairs said something about the road over there. Sheila thought that meant that someone who lived on the next road over adopted him. so she asked some sort of follow up question (like is the dog inside)...no...the dog is not inside. he got hit by a car at night and died. its sad. wish we hadn't asked...

That makes me very sad. You should have adopted him.

Lem - putting enough chili in your food IS the equivalent of putting a storm or a fever in it ... you were right on!

I love mangoes, so if you get to eat the ones off the tree, think of me!

Sorry about your puppy :(
