Surprise

yesterday afternoon i got an email from my friend Anna. She is one of my "heart friends." you know, the type of friend who just gets you...in ways that don't make sense. the sort of friendships that only exist cause God has knit your hearts together. She has been in Chile for the past 3 weeks, and isn't coming back to Spring Arbor for another 3. her email told me that she was had just safely landed in Chicago, and was spending the night there with her friend.

the reason why i got really excited about this email is cause i was headed to chicago to pick up my Aunt, Uncle and cousins from O'Hare, and it was early enough that i could get there in time to have dinner with Anna. What a treat. Not only did i get to spend some time with my family, but i got a surprise dinner with Anna, and i got to meet one of her good friends from college. i also got to drive in the midwest on a sunny day, with blue sky, white puffy clouds and green fields. what a great day.
