I arrived safely in MI late last night...and i'm doing everything in my power to skedaddle on out of here and get to Lexington before that baby comes. (i'm either heading out this afternoon or tomorrow morning depending on how things shake down).
as for travelling, the best news is that due to my surgery, i got upgraded to "business class" on my flight from India to London! (AWESOME!).
my time in London was amazing. oh what a gift it was to just sit with Katie and Ollie, to eat great meals together, to laugh, to continue our friendship. i'm so thankful it worked out to see them.
I'm doing laundry, and trying to figure out what i should take with me to Lexington, driving around...all things that seem normal, and very strange (although i have to say by far the strangest thing is drinking water straight from the tap. i wonder how long it will be until i stop seeing water as "toxic").
As for being home, i have a few initial thoughts/feelings. mostly it seem surreal (i'm sure that's exaggerated by the lack of sleep and general feeling of fuzzy-ness)...but besides that to sum it up, i feel like i've come home - only i'm a different person than i was when i left, and home is a different place too...
