A Weekend Away

It was time to get out of town...so last weekend i went to a hillstation with some of the other interns/fellows. There are no vehicles allowed in this city. You can travel on foot, horse, or by a pulled rickshaw. There is also a train to get you into and out of town if you want. It was beautiful - and quiet. We saw great scenery, and had good time hanging out, reading, chatting, laughing and resting.

Here are some highlights:
* A hike to see the sunset
* Sitting by a pool relaxing and chatting with friends
* A spontaneous "Magic Show" by a travelling "magician" - we laughed so hard, and were thoroughly entertained. Definitely worth the $2.00 I gave him.
* Watching mokeys fight over a plastic bottle
* Eating ice cream - lots and lots of ice cream
* A Badminton game with Brian
* Sitting alone Sunday morning enjoying the view and being with God
* The charming hotel we stayed at

* The fact that it was cool enough to sleep with a blanket
* The monkey who came in our room while people were napping, rummaged through our stuff, and nearly ran off with my mouth guard i sleep with (thankfully they woke up before he ran off with that. i do have monkey teeth marks on the container though!)
