A collection of random news

I got to see my Uncle Glenn on Sunday morning. He's here on business. it was good to see him, and to spend time with him...to show him my neighborhood, and to share a cup of coffee at my favorite coffee shop.

I went to my tailor the other day, and the shop was empty (usually there are lots of people in there). So, he and his wife mentioned that they saw my dance on TV. They were watching the program, and all of a sudden they saw me and said to their friend, "Hey, she's one of our customers!" It is a small world!

We have a new intern here for the summer. I took her clothes shopping on Sunday evening, and i really enjoyed our time together. I'm excited to know her more.

I have lots of ants. they've gotten worse since the rain started. Over the weekend some ants were using my computer as a clubhouse. Every time i'd take it out of the case ants would crawl out of the little cracks. I actually am not a fan of my computer being Ant Disney World. I stored it in a different place and they seem to be gone. apparently there isn't enough food in my computer to keep them coming back (thankfully!).

Last night my dinner was absolutely horrible. I made some soup from a packet, and it said to add vegetables, but i didn't have the ones it said to add, so i decided to add others...not a great idea. but what really made it horrible was that i have a little electric kettle, and i usually just keep water in there - so i warmed it up and threw it in the soup pot. i didn't check it...and then i saw little dead ants floating all through my soup. So then i spent a long time picking out the ants (I could have taken the "its just extra protein" route...but just couldn't)...and it was a lot of work - and really it was just gross. not worth it at all. eventually i got out my strainer, got rid of all the soup (and ants), and just kept the potatoes, which were the best part...and that's not saying much. you win some, you lose some...and last night i definitely lost!

don't you think the letter "double u" should really be "double v" it doesn't look like two Us. it looks like two Vs....see UU doesn't look like W. VV does.

Lem - ants in your computer - probably ought to run the de-bug the thing! Need the new Norton Anti-virus?

I've always thought that about UU! Glad you're on the same page with me!

Love you!

It all depends on how you write your W's. My lower case "w" looks like "uu." Either way, I think "W" deserves a unique name all to herself...why should she be any less important than the other letters???

I think the VV thing came from how letters used to look in Latin. U's used to look like V's.
I am such a nerd.
