While I was in Kolkata my friend (and teammate) Kyle Scott wrote some amazing songs. I don’t want to put words in his mouth…but I think its fair to say they’re songs about friends, and stories, struggle, truth, brokenness, restoration and hope (at least that’s how I see them). Toward the end of our time in Kolkata Kyle played all the songs for us (we all knew he was working on them, but we hadn’t heard them). I was amazed by how he’d put words to so many things I’d felt, or struggled with, or thought.
Kyle’s been working on recording the songs…and now they’re finished! The album is called “Kovita’s Voice” Kovita was/is a friend of Word Made Flesh who died tragically last March. There is a memorial to her in “The Cry” which you can read online at http://www.wordmadeflesh.org/learn/winter%202007_forweb.pdf (its on page 25). (i tried to cut and paste it here so you all could read it more easily, but i couldn't. I wish i could have though, its a powerful/hard story that i still struggle with/don't know what to do with)
If you’re interested…you can own your very own copy of the CD (Which I highly recommend!). To buy one, email kyle at scott.ky@hotmail.com and if you want you can listen to some of the songs and read the lyrics at his myspace page http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=246011340
also, just so you know...Kyle is getting ready to move back to Kolkata for the next 3 years...

Lem - it's so good to get updates. Makes being half way around the world seem smaller!
I look at your winter-hat picture all day long, and that reminds me to pray for you.
