its good to be here...

some travel treasures:

• an indian grandpa wearing plaid shorts (awesome!)
• when the airplane made this announcement before we pushed back from the gate: "This plane is headed for Newark. If Newark is not in your travel plans please inform me immediately." must be some sort of new disclaimer...but seriously - if you can get that far, boarding pass, onto the plane, listening to announcement and you're not supposed to be on that plane - something is really really wrong!
• great in-flight entertainment
• my big carry-on (with the stuff that i didn't actually need for the flight - i just need it to get to India) got gate checked for all three flights! (AWESOME!)
• middle seat for the long (15 1/2 hrs) from Newark to Mumbai (bummer!)...but really cool people sitting on either side of me!

its good to be home.

Friday was WMF community night - so i got to have dinner with the crew. loved it.

yesterday i got my wardrobe, so i spent the day unpacking and organizing. sometimes i think, "man, i have a lot of stuff...how did that happen" - and then other times i'm so thankful for the little treasures i brought from "home" that make this feel like home too.

over the door hooks that give me someplace to hang random things.
i still need to get my windows fixed

jet-lag gave me an early wake up call this morning (could have done without that) - but enjoying the slow pace of today...and looking forward to going to saribari tomorrow...
