So i'm a bit obsessed with my pens. not that they're really valuable - they just are to me...recognize them? the silver and blue one most of the writing has worn off. i've replaced the ink, but that one ran out too :( multiple times i've almost lost my pen - although usually when that happens its just that i've put it in my ponytail...so eventually i find it again. when i was in Nepal i was slightly embarrassed to ask the restaurant owner to give my pen back (he's travelled in the US and must know that its a cheap "free-be" pen. i couldn't help myself though...it was my "Edge Pen" and i couldn't lose it...something about being emotionally connected to SAFMC...and the youth group there.) then, later on in Nepal a rather good looking and charming french guy accidentally walked off with my pen. i couldn't muster the boldness to ask him for the pen back (he was just so cute, and i loved the way he said my name). but then, the server at that restaurant came gave us our bill, but he had to fix something...and he pulled out my beloved Edge pen. i boldy said, "uh, could i have your pen...cause it's mine." it came back to me. you know what they say, "if you love someone let them go..." must apply to pens too. it must be that we're meant to be together :) until the ink ran out again and i didn't have another re-fill

Enter "Wildfire" Pen.
my friend Merilee mailed it to me (with 2 plain bic pens to refill it with...assuming i don't lose it or a charming French guy doesn't walk off with it). i know its silly. i can't help myself. i love pens that remind me of the years i spent at SAFMC....and as a bonus, the info on the Wildfire pen is even correct (the Edge pen info was all wrong)...
in my language class one day i was explaining (in Bangla of course) why i love my pens so much. i explained that in the US these pens are very cheap, that places give them away - but that i love it cause when i see the pen, then i remember my friends at home...and its true.
