I shifted yesterday. it was absolutely insane. Most things are moved, but i still have a lot of work to do...cleaning the old place...cleaning the new place...getting settled/organized in general...hanging curtain rods...getting my water filter installed...getting my internet working etc etc etc.
One of the things that we weren't sure about this new flat is that its really close to our local mosque. They have prayer 5 times a day, which involved chanting very loudly and its broadcast with huge speakers. You can hear it all over the area (even from my old flat, which is further from the mosque). We were worried that it was distrub us (the first time is a 5:15 am! not exactly a time that i care to be woken up on a daily basis)...but the good news is that i slept right through it this morning.Yippee!

When we were in South Africa we stayed within in "sounding" distance of a mosque. You must have my gift of sleep - the noise didn't wake me up either :)
