time and weather

This morning i had the privilege of "teaching" the Jr. high Sunday school class at SAFMC. it was good to see the teens again, and good to share what God is doing in. As i was preparing, i was thinking about time differences and the weather differences...so here's some info on that.

its HOT in Kolkata. It will be between 80 and 110 degrees while i'm there!

Kolkata is 10 1/2 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time (i'm not sure how the half hour works, i just know its what it is!) SO...

if you watch a TV show regularly at 8:00 PM, you could pray for me before the show starts. It will be 6:30 AM my time, and if i'm not up already, i will be soon.

if you're a student, then you can pray for me at 7:30 when school starts (or when your kids are getting off to school if you're a parent, or when you're getting out of bed if you're not a student, teacher or parent!) - and it will be 6:00 PM my time. i'll probably be eating dinner, and getting ready for my evening...whatever that will hold.

when you eat lunch (at noon) it will be 10:30 PM my time, and i'm sure i'll be getting pretty close to bed time (especially if i'm awake at 6:30!)

so, there are some time references to help you remember to pray for me! (which i desperately need!)

Wow! This sounds like a great trip, and I'm glad that you're so looking forward to it! Though I've considered myself agnostic all my life, I'll definitely be praying for you! Good luck!

Melly Mel, oh man, I am so excited for your impending adventure! I'm getting goosebumps as I'm reading your blog. Know that I'm praying for you, and I'll be praying for your travel time (I'll be traveling too so it'll help me remember). And I'll see you before then I'm sure.
If you want to you can check out my blog here.

Mel, could you include those prayer times for anyone located in the Mountain Time Zone? It's all so confusing... =) will be praying for you, at all the times I remember.
